In Spring 2024, my teaching partner, Marie Naka, and I taught and designed three science workshops at the Trinity College Boys & Girls Club, an afterschool organization for elementary, middle, and high school students in the Hartford area. We taught our lessons to groups of about 10-15 elementary and middle school students on the topics of sound, climate change, and memory. These lessons were part of the independent study we put together, taking inspiration from our Spring 2023 course, Teaching and Learning, in which we similarly designed and taught three hands-on, inquiry-based lessons to be taught at Expeditionary Learning Academy at Moylan.
